Installation

Install from the Chrome Web Store

1. Open the Aninag Mobile listing in the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Confirm the permissions prompt.
4. After installation, click the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar.
5. Select a device and orientation to start previewing.

Install locally in Chrome

1. Download or clone this repository.
2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
3. Turn on Developer mode.
4. Click Load unpacked.
5. Select the project folder.
6. The extension will be added to Chrome and can be used immediately.

Desktop companion setup

For the frameless floating phone experience, install the desktop dependencies and start the companion app:

npm install
npm start -- --url=https://your-site.test --device=iphone --orientation=portrait

Native Messaging setup

Chrome requires a one-time Native Messaging registration before the extension can launch the desktop companion.

1. Load the extension in Chrome.
2. Copy the extension ID from the extension details page.
3. Run:

npm run setup:native -- YOUR_EXTENSION_ID

4. Reload the extension in Chrome.

After setup, the preview action can open the Electron window automatically.

Notes

• The extension reads cookies for the previewed site so logged-in sessions can continue in the mobile preview.
• Only cookies for the previewed domain and parent domains are transferred.
• LocalStorage and IndexedDB are not copied from Chrome into the companion preview.
